Eat Well, Do Good 2026

Eat Well, Do Good Month is back this October and this year we’re aiming to get 100 venues involved!

Our city-wide fundraising campaign unites Manchester’s hospitality community for common good, with a month long celebration. Throughout October, participating venues raise funds for Eat Well MCR in whatever way suits them best. Every pound raised goes directly towards chef-made meals for people facing the hardest of times: families in temporary accommodation, women in refuge, people relying on food banks, and parents staying overnight with their children in hospital. We also have a raffle that runs throughout the month, raising thousands of pounds to help others in need in our city.

Previous participating venues have included Lina Stores, Dishoom, Long Bois Bakehouse, The Black Friar, Where The Light Gets In, Blacklock, Hawksmoor, Great North Pie and 10 Tib Lane.

Venues have found their own ways to get involved. Some add an optional £1 donation to every bill, while others create a limited-edition dish with a portion of each sale going to the cause. Venues have hosted supper clubs, sponsored runs and special menus,, while others have opened their doors to care-experienced young people for dinners and workshops. A fundraising raffle runs throughout the month and prizes are gratefully received. There is no single way to take part - only a shared commitment to helping people across the city.

Already confirmed for 2026 is a launch event at Exhibition. On Sunday 27th of September guests can enjoy a special Sunday lunch featuring courses by each kitchen plus guest chefs.

Manchester-based collective Renae are back with a DJ-led launch even on the 8th for some fundraving, while newly recognised Michelin Guide chef Caroline Martins is set to host a special butchery session at Freight Island. .

The month closes on Monday 26 October at Manchester Museum with a dinner led by chef Sam Buckley of Where The Light Gets In, created in collaboration with Greater Manchester Youth Network, an organisation that supports young people.
