Together, we've shown that kindness knows no bounds.

Eat Well MCR started with a closed restaurant filled with produce destined for the bin. Your support has enabled us to harness the goodwill of our hospitality community and use it to provide meals for others, with nothing asked for in return. To our supporters, thank you for being an integral part of our journey.

Chefs, Restaurants and Hospitality Professionals

If you're a local chef or restaurant team and you’d like to cook meals for us to send out into the community, we’d love to hear from you.

Whether you can prepare meals regularly or as a one-off, every contribution matters.

Volunteer with us

Volunteering with Eat Well MCR is a lovely way to give back and be part of something rooted in care.

We run regular chef-led batch cooks, and we also operate Café 93 at Harpurhey Wellbeing Centre. Whether you’re joining us for a one-off session or using a corporate volunteer day, your time helps us provide restaurant-quality meals to people facing incredibly challenging circumstances.

It’s hands-on, meaningful, and a chance to connect with our collective in a real way.

If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.

A lasting legacy

Our Custodians Plan is for generous individuals who can donate £1,500 annually to secure the long-term future of Eat Well MCR. To find out more please email kathleen.oconnor@eatwellmcr.org.

Corporate Partners

We work with organisations to create meaningful partnerships that go beyond a donation.

That might look like:

  • Team volunteer days at batch cooks

  • Supporting service at Café 93

  • Sponsoring ingredients or projects

  • Funding specific community meals or events

Your support helps us keep going, and your team gets to see first-hand the impact of what we do.

If you’d like to explore a partnership, please email kathleen.oconnor@eatwellmcr.org.

Suppliers and growers

If you’re a supplier, producer or grower, there are so many ways you can support our work.

We welcome:

  • Discounted or donated produce for Café 93

  • Surplus ingredients from hospitality suppliers

  • Plants, compost, tools or materials for our kitchen garden

  • Skilled support to help us grow and maintain the space

Our café and garden are about nourishment, dignity and connection. Your support helps us create meals and moments of care for people across Manchester.

If you’d like to contribute produce, plants or expertise, please email hello@eatwellmcr.org.
