Eat Well, Do Good Month: October 2026

Empty white square with a black border.

This October, Eat Well, Do Good returns for a full month of brilliant food, drink and generosity across Manchester.

In 2025, 70 venues took part, raising over £18,000 to support Eat Well MCR’s work delivering chef-made meals to people facing difficult times.

This year, we’d love to reach 100 venues.

From £1 on the bill and limited-edition dishes, to supper clubs, team fundraisers, workshops and creative one-off events, there are so many ways to get involved. However you choose to take part, your support helps fund meals for families in temporary accommodation, women in refuge, people using food banks, parents staying with their children in hospital, and others across Greater Manchester who need a moment of care and respite.

Eat Well MCR delivers around 2,500 meals a month, made by Manchester's hospitality community, paid for by the generous support of the people of Manchester.

2026 Plans

We’ll kick off the month with a brilliant launch event (details coming soon!) and wrap things up with a free thank you party for our hospitality heroes and supporters that have taken part.

Ways venues can get involved:

  • adding an optional £1 donation to bills

  • creating a dish or drink that gives back

  • hosting a supper club, quiz night or party

  • running a team fundraiser

  • welcoming care-experienced young people for a workshop

  • coming up with your own brilliant idea!

We’ll support the campaign with email marketing, a dedicated listings page, press coverage and a city-wide poster campaign.

Hospitality has always looked after people. This is one way we can extend that care a little further.

We’d love you to be part of it.

Every penny raised goes directly to funding chef-made meals for people facing tough times.

Just £2 funds one meal.
